The Westminster Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery which occurred on Tuesday, just after midnight, at a private residence on Shaffer Avenue.

An unknown masked assailant entered the residence, produced a handgun and demanded money from the two residents inside. An altercation ensued and one of the residents was struck multiple times about the head and face by the assailant with the handgun. The victim refused medical treatment.

After the altercation, the suspect fled the residence. The suspect is described as: W/M, 5'5"-5'7" tall and weighing approximately 160 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a black puffy winter jacket over top of a grey hooded sweatshirt. During the robbery, the suspect had a "T" shirt covering his face.

A $500.00 reward is being offered for the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect in this incident.
