First, thank you to those who moved their cars off of the roads during these past two storms. This greatly helped our Public Works men in their plowing efforts.
Now that the storm is gone and the sun is out, we know that everyone is anxious to get back to normal. Although it is no longer snowing, there is still much work to be done. We wanted to update you on our planned efforts for the next few days to ensure that our roads are safe and accessible.

Recently, an alarming article appeared in the Sun revealing an unexpected growing budget deficit in Baltimore County. At the time, the figure of $152 million was mentioned. It is my understanding that the number has increased to over $180 million and is still growing. The reason for the deficit was not clear but, generally speaking, it appeared that revenue shortfalls were the main culprit. A radical and, perhaps, structural pattern of reduced revenues is a serious problem.
