Gov. Martin O'Malley delivered his 2010 State of the State address on Tuesday before a joint session of the Maryland General Assembly, his fourth and last such address as Governor. The full text of his short sighted diatribe can be found here.
By all indications O'Malley and his progressive ilk in Annapolis is in over their heads and lack the cognitive tools to guide this State into a sustainable recovery.

Maryland Republican Party Chairman Audrey Scott took exception last week with Gov. O'Malley's hollow pledge of "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs," to curry favor with voters.
"Over the past three years the O'Malley Administration has implemented policies that have killed jobs in Maryland," said Scott.

Republican Caucus looks to transparency, with an appeal to open the doors of government in Maryland. Good luck with that:
The Joint Republican Caucus of the Maryland General Assembly sent a letter to Senate President Mike Miller and House Speaker Mike Busch today urging the presiding officers to implement administrative measures to make the legislative process in Annapolis more open to the general public.

Maryland Senate Republican Caucus Reports:
While the media and political pundits view the state budget as the major issue for the new legislative session of the General Assembly, it is likely that the budget and all other issues will be overshadowed by the surging voter anger in Maryland as legislators approach the 2010 elections.

Washington - Washington Democrats were able to get versions of their government takeover of health care through both the House and Senate, so it’s a foregone conclusion that both chambers will eventually agree on a final bill, right? Not so fast. Though they have huge majorities in both bodies, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have a bit of a Democrat problem.
