Thieves Pilfer Four Heat Pumps in Sykesville

Sykesville, Maryland -- Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the theft of heat pump condenser units taken from the exterior of several South Carroll homes and one business.
Since August 18, thieves have cut the electric and supply lines of units at an existing home in the 800 BLK of Chanter Drive, and two units at a new home under construction in the 2000 BLK of Oden Way. Over this past weekend, thieves removed a fourth unit from a business in the 100 BLK of Klee’s Mill Road. Total loss estimates exceed $5000.
