Police identify two dead in Ellicott City home

Howard County police have confirmed the identities of two people found deceased inside a home in the 3700 block of Bonnybridge Place in Ellicott City Saturday night.

Clare Lenore Stoudt, 35, and Reginald Van Graves, 49, both died from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.  Police located a gun at the scene and will be analyzing it for evidence.

Autopsies will confirm their causes of death.

Investigators believe Stoudt and Van Graves lived together and had children together, but were not married.  Three children who lived in the residence, ages 7, 5, and 2, are being placed with a family member.  Specially-trained crisis counselors and detectives are assisting the children.

Police received a 911 call around 6 p.m. from a neighbor reporting that a child had discovered two injured people inside a nearby residence.  Emergency personnel responded to the house and found Stoudt and Van Graves deceased inside.  It appeared that they had suffered traumatic injuries.

Investigators have found no preliminary evidence of forced entry at the residence.  Detectives are still working to determine the circumstances of the incident and are investigating the possibility it may have been a domestic assault.
