America’s economic recovery continues to struggle under the weight of trillion dollars deficits and misguided leaders like Barbara Mikulski who continue to expand the size of government at the expense of Marylanders. Jim Rutledge believes Washington is the problem not the answer. Jim Rutledge said, “Washington has a big money problem. They accept big money to defend themselves while at the same time keep raising taxes to spend our money.”

Barack Obama remains disengaged while Barbara Mikulski and democrats in Washington remain committed to a liberal social spending agenda that threatens our economic recovery. Jim Rutledge understands that economic recovery will require restoring jobs and consumer confidence, which can only be accomplished through lower taxes, smaller government, and fewer taxes. Business and industry stand still like a deer in the headlights as they face the uncertainty of more taxes and regulations.

If America is to move forward, then Washington must be governed by leaders who are guided by the principles of our Constitution as opposed to those who prefer to ignore it. Jim Rutledge believes restoring Washington means returning to the guiding values and principles of our forefathers. Jim Rutledge said, “Since Washington has lost its way I think the time has come for us to show them the way home.”
