Md., Va. residents deeper in debt than most Americans

The greater the government imposition on the private sector, with laws and favored status for the government class, the greater its rate of inflation and consumer debt. In Maryland an educator or employee of the public school system is provided free college tuition for all their children. Tuition rates for the rest of the student body must make up that difference. Maryland is a government state with 80 percent of its residents either employed or dependent on local, state or federal compensation, gift or graft. Innumerable benefits are bestowed upon government's labor force, its consultants, grifters and grafters, driving the cost-of-living index through the roof in every state where government has become the number one employer or service provider. The Examiner breaks down the numbers...

Residents of Maryland and Virginia are deeper in debt than most of the rest of the nation, a new report shows.

Ponder This

Columnist Andrew McCarthy writes on what may be the most overlooked question regarding the upcoming presidential election, rather succinctly...

"...if Mitt wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who have hesitation on that score, I'd just ask you to keep four things in mind:

1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78

2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year

3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August

4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago.

We wish them all well, of course, but the brute fact is that whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.

If you don't think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you're smokin' something funky...."

So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn't get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win... Imagine this:

Penn Jillette On Drug War: States' Rights Doesn't Mean "Jack Sh*t" To Obama

In a recent episode of his podcast "Penn's Sunday School," comedian Penn Jillette laid his opinions on the Obama drug policies out on the table.

Democratic Racist Red Meat: “Conservatives like Herman Cain because he’s a black man who knows his place”!

Stop the ACLU -- Talk about red meat!! What was this lady thinking? Oops! Oh, she wasn’t thinking. The true typical racist stereotyping slipped out for this liberal.

Over Medicated Nation: Nearly 200 tons of prescription drugs turned in

The haul points to waste, abuse and fraud in the pharmaceutical industry. It has nothing to do with medicine. It's an industry. Drug companies peddling drugs people do not take, do not really need, and mostly do not work, in large part paid for through taxpayer funded prescription programs.

Federal Dictate Renders Property Worthless

The private sector creates wealth. Government destroys it. Here’s a particularly ham-fisted example: Nearly every year, Patsy Riley has gotten unsolicited offers for her house on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks with its spectacular views of tree-lined bluffs and its ample shoreline, but she never wanted to leave. Now, she and hundreds of her neighbors [...]

Your contribution is appreciated, if only a couple of bucks, the cost of countering the liberal media is arduous and costly.
